Anyone who is born again is mandated to witness Christ to others. Witnessing Christ is simple but oftentimes we make it difficult thus confusing our adherents. This article will help you to reconsider your way of witnessing and to make it simple for better results.

If you could simply share your testimony to the lost with a passion and encourage them to “test” Jesus Christ in their situation, you will be astonished to see God using you in a tremendous way.

Find some verses explaining the fate of unrepented sinners who are destined for hell. Scriptures such as Romans 3:23 talk about the fallen man who is pushed out from the radiant glory of God due to the original sin committed by Adam (including Eve) and inherited by all humans. Romans 6:23 talks about death as the wages of sin and its solution is found in John 3:16. Scriptures such as John 3:1-7 explain the criterion to see the kingdom of God as well as Romans 10:9 declares the precise method to obtain salvation. These verses are to be memorized and recommended among other salvation verses.

When one accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, rejoice with him and continuously pray for him always. Don’t hit and leave! You will make things worse.

Recommend salvation nurturing verses for the new beginners to start with in their new life in Christ and encourage them to meditate on these verses to assure them about the important step they have just taken. Encourage them to read especially the entire Gospel of John, which elaborates on the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the new life obtained in Him.

I have seen many people who claim they are evangelizing but actually are not. They tend to ask sinners, “Can I pray for you?” When the lost says “yes” then they pray and come home rejoicing. That is not salvation! Salvation is sharing the Word of God through whatever means to convict sinners to know that their sinful state is dangerous. They need a solution. Help them confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, not “you” confessing on their behalf.

Read again the conversation of Jesus Christ with the Samaritan woman in John 4. Jesus walked with the woman in her level of understanding until she “caught” the point and realized her sinful fate which needed “living water.” She even went right away to call her village people to come to encounter the Messiah and they did.

There was a great replication of new souls to the kingdom. “Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?” (v.29) When they personally encountered Jesus Christ, they “said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.” (v.42)

Let us make evangelism simple. Don’t quote scriptures after scriptures. They may get confused! Also, don’t argue especially when you encounter opposing views. You are not there to debate but to save a life. When you are in an emergency to rescue somebody from fire sometimes the heat may disturb you. Endure and finish your mission.

You are there only to allow your faculty for the Holy Spirit to use to convict the lost. Do your part and allow the Holy Spirit to do His part. Don’t restrict Him. If they reject your message, they don’t reject you but actually, they rejected Christ.

Remember there are moments Jesus was rejected but He never gave up or got discouraged. He would move on and chance would “knock” in other places. If one rejects you go to another and speak the message.

Insurance agents who sell insurance products know how to overcome rejection. If one person rejects their products they go to another person. If that person refuses, they go to another until chance knocks. Research findings tell us that if an agent talks to ten people about product offers, eight might reject them and two might accept the product. But yours is noble: you are not alone; God is with you. Your products are spiritual, and applicable to all humans.
