CORE-VALUES

Our core values are biblical ethics that are derived from the vision and mission of DLC to align our characters, conducts, words, and social standings, thus helping us achieve the purpose our church exists to fulfill.

Integrity

Show Jesus Christ in character, words, and actions so that people can practically see Christ in you. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity” 1 Timothy 4:12. 7In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. Titus 2:6-8

Worshipping—

Engage in deep worship to purposely bring out the manifest presence of God to touch people’s lives. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24

Missional—

Be missional in ministering to the lost and making them become genuine disciples of Jesus Christ. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry” 2 Timothy 4:5. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20

Encouraging—

Intentionally see the best in others and encourage them to focus on bringing out the best in themselves. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” Philippians 4:9

Growing—

Constantly pursue spiritual growth in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ to conform to His likeness. “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18

Equipping—

Be prepared in all seasons and use diligence in proclaiming God’s Word to transform people’s lives. Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine2 Timothy 4:2.Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

Supernatural—

Strive to become a wonder-working disciple of Christ who loves dwelling in the manifest presence of God. 11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: 12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. Acts 19:12

Empowering—

Empower others with spiritual blessings and joyfully help them flourish in fulfilling their destinies. 11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; 12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. Romans 1:11-12
