Apostle Dr. Peter Towongo is a recognized ‘mouthpiece’ of God who operates in the full apostolic and prophetic mandates. He was licensed and ordained to the ministry as a reverend minister by the Independent Assemblies of God International Canada. However, on January 21, 2024, Dr. Peter was publicly set apart and consecrated an apostle and subsequently installed an overseer (bishop) of his ministerial episcopacy by Jesus Is Lord Ministries for All Nations based in Dallas Texas. Dr. Peter is a speaker, teacher, consultant, author, counselor, and mentor to leaders. It’s common to discover the man of God’s heart as he always reiterates: “I strongly believe that every person is created with a special gift from God to fulfill a purpose, but needs enlightenment to discover and maximize that gift.” Dr. Peter is the founder of Destiny Life Church, president of Compassion Life Ministries International, CEO of Towongo Consulting Inc., and Towongo Publishing. He has traveled across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa advocating the Christian faith and addressing critical issues affecting individuals from different walks of life.
Apostle Dr. Peter was born in South Sudan and raised in the church all his life. He earned a PhD in Christian Organizational Leadership at NTS Seminary (USA). He received a distinction in his dissertation paper entitled “Examining Leadership Practices for Growing Congregations: A Historical Leadership Analysis from the Early Church to Today.” He obtained a higher education teaching certificate from Harvard University. Dr. Peter attended Alpha-Omega Seminary (Uganda) together with Global University (USA), and many other colleges.
Dr. Peter is the author of several inspiring books, including “Anatomy of Congregational Leadership,” “Power: 3 Steps to Kindle the Power Within You,” “Interpreting Your Tongues,” and “Package of Salvation,” as well as two college syllabi.
Evangelist Mary Aongo is co-founder of Destiny Life Church and is married to Apostle Dr. Peter Towongo. She is an ordained minister, poet, speaker, intercessor, and author of several books including “Healing Songs,” I’ve Called You by Name,” and many children’s books. Evangelist Mary graduated with an MA in biblical studies from Covenant Bible Seminary (Washington), and a BA in sociology from the University of California San Diego (UCSD). God has blessed them with two adorable sons and one daughter: Anyole Towongo, Agele Towongo, and Ariye Towongo. Apostle Dr. Peter and Evangelist Mary mentor many ministers of God including those in the business sector. They live in the Greater Vancouver area (Canada) where they continue to inspire many through their dedicated service to God.
